About Alyssa Danielle Mattocks

Alyssa (they/them) is a space-holder, guide, and forever student of rest. Their teaching isn’t about doing more, it’s about unraveling, unlearning, and remembering the deep wisdom that already lives within. Rooted in Yoga Nidra, cyclical wisdom, breathwork, and sound, Alyssa’s work is an invitation to step out of the noise and into yourself.

With 15+ years in wellness and over 1,000 hours of training, Alyssa has studied with mentors like Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Shanah Rivers, and Jana Roemer. As a neurodivergent (AuDHD) teacher, they understand the power of rest as a form of self-reclamation. Their approach is intuitive, trauma-aware, and deeply inclusive; welcoming all bodies, brains, and life experiences.

In every experience, Alyssa creates a space where there is no need to perform, fix, or strive. Just arrive, breathe, and let yourself be.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, also known as "yogic sleep," is an effortless lying-down meditation that guides you into deep states of relaxation and harmony. This practice helps shift brainwave activity, transitioning from the sympathetic state of stress to the parasympathetic state of rest and digest. Accessible to all bodies and brains, Yoga Nidra offers an opportunity to experience true rest and luxuriate in a state of deep relaxation.
